✧ The Girl with The Make-Believe Husband ✧
.
ฅ Captain Edward George Rokesby wasn't necessarily a man with perfect plans.
But when he suddenly wakes up in a hospital with a chunk of his memory missing and a new found wife, who also happened to be the only sister of his missing best friend, saying that he was shocked would be the understatement of the century.
Specially when the girl who supposedly now is his wife is also the one with who he has been in love with for a year. Catch? Well....he hasn't actually ever met her before!
ฅ Cecelia Harcourt had not expected things to go like this.
With her father dead and her beloved brother wounded at the battlefront, Cecelia Harcourt was running out of options. On top of that his extremely irritating cousin was trying to get her to marry him. Thus Cecelia did the first thing that came to her mind st that time. She boarded a ship to cross Atlantic determined to nurse her brother back to health.
Now here comes the complications; Her brother wasn't wounded, he seemed to have gone missing and in place of him was his best friend Edward, unconscious and in dire need of help, so Cecelia decided that if she can't help her brother she would at least help his friend.
But due to the complications of the war none but the family members were allowed to meet the soldiers. That's when Cecelia said her first innocent lie. That she was his wife.

ꈍ Personal Overview ꈍ
:彡Julia Quinn shows her magic once again. She has made me addicted to Regency Romances.
:彡 As usual the story was filled with love and humour with one of the best endings ever. I can't help but appreciate her work.
:彡But I have to confess something. This book was the first book ever where I had to skip like, 50 pages in between cause I couldn't bare to read what happened.
:彡Second hand embarassment is quite common in books but for the first time, I felt second hand guilt while reading something. I literally felt so bad for both of them throughout the whole book.
:彡 A little more diversity would have also been nice, still it was a nice book overall. I loved the writing style.

Happy Reading~~~
